Bailey's first day of school

Bailey started his first day of school on Monday August 17. We call it his 'big boy school.' He did pretty good the first day with a little uncertainty in his voice. The second and third day were tears as he was being dropped off. He likes it and has fun while he is there. It will just take a while to get adjusted to. Today was his first day of school wear his clothes for mass. Friday they dress up for mass. His daddy dropped him off and there were no tears today. Yeah! Doesn't he look handsome!

Introducing Danica Lynn Blaker

Danica Lynn Blaker, born friday July 24th at 7:15 a.m. She weighed 8 lbs 1 oz, 19" long. She was born by c-section and the procedure went well. Mom and baby did fabulous! Bailey along with all the family were all there to witness our little girl's birth. Bailey just couldn't wait! Daddy dressed her up in her "Princess Danica" monogrammed gown and hat.
She was dressed to impress in her white eyelet dress and bonnet for her big day of going home.

Her big brother loves and adores her so much. He has been patiently awaiting the birth of his little sister.

Welcome home Danica! Our family is complete! Bailey wore his "Big Brother" shirt for her homecoming. Our family photo!

Baby shower for Mommy & Fishing weekend for Daddy

On Saturday, Amy Williams and Dawn Blaker (Nanny) threw me a baby shower for Danica. It was at our office in Kerrville. It was a lot of fun and Danica received so many precious gifts. Melody Gore, Bailey's nanny, attended the shower as well. She is expecting a little boy one week prior to Danica's due date. Below is a picture of our pregnant bellys. We are both anxiously awaiting our little ones arrival.
Brandon spent the weekend in Rockport with his Dad, Dr. Siemer, and Darrin Stanton. They caught lots of snapper and a Ling. Brandon caught an 18 lb, 30 inch snapper. Yum! Yum!

3D / 4D Sonogram

Today we went for a 3D /4D sonogram. It was great. We got a chance to see what baby Danica looks like. The image was wonderful. She kept putting her right arm/hand up in front of her face blocking our view. Across her left cheek is a shadow of my placenta. My placenta is in the front and hinders the full view of her face. Nevertheless, our experience was definitely wonderful and worth it. Our guests included: Grandma, Nanny, Papa, Bailey, and Daddy of course. Bailey had a large smile on his face the entire time. She moved around alot as she heard Bailey talking. She must already love her big brother because she responds well to the sound of his voice. We all agree that she look a lot like Bailey.

Below is a picture of Bailey as we were leaving the hospital:

Danica Lynn Blaker at 28 weeks: she has her hand up near her right eye, the blurry spot over her left cheek is my placenta. We can't wait to see her in person.

Swim Lessons

Bailey has started taking swim lessons. This was his third lesson. He has private lessons with his instructor at the Wellness Center in Fredericksburg. Nanny takes him to these lessons since both Brandon & I have to work. He really seems to be enjoying himself. We hope to continue these lessons through much of the summer. He has learned how to blow bubbles, kick on kickboards, swim with the fun noodle, and this week he was learning how to start pushing off the side of the pool towards the instructor. His teacher said that he is doing well for his age. I sure am glad that Nanny is able to take these adorable pictures for us all to enjoy!

Weekend at Grandma's House

Bailey and I spent the day at the Zoo with Michele and Camden. Monday April 20th was Camden's 2nd birthday. They had fun together, looking at animals, running around, and sharing snacks.

Bailey was awarded a special dessert from the waiter for being a good boy while eating out after seeing the Wizard of Oz.
Grandma, Aunt Helen, Jennifer, Kristen, Ashlynn, Bailey and I all went to see the Wizard of Oz, Sat. April 18th. It was Bailey's first play. He got a little bored during the first set and we had to leave shortly before intermission to use the restroom and eat a few snacks. The second set went a little more smoothly, he was a little more attentive and then fell asleep towards the end. It was a fun filled day with lots of excited and he got a little tired.
